Obama speaks to congress....
McCain or Obama, the stocks are going to plummet for a while just because we're in an inevitable recession. It is also just about impossible to stop the dominoes from falling as fast as "I'm elected, lets watch the stock market shoot up now!" It'll probably be a good 5-10 years if you're being serious about clearing out bad assets... the amount of bad assets created isn't going to just disappear (or in literal since, they have) over night.
but thats what this thread is all about. finger pointing. in fact thats all people do when debating politics. because we dont know enough about it, so its easy to say, "oy, it was that ****** right there."
we the people are disappointed because he hasn't brought change to america and cured our problems overnight. but isn't the fact that we are so disappointed proof in itself that even we, in this thread (so called logical people who dont see him as some savior/hero), also have too high of expectations, just by virtue of being so upset? a rational person wouldnt be so quick to be upset unless they pre-emptively thought they were owed something - e.g. obama's heroism and overnight solution. that' silly, he was inaugurated one month ago. but as i said before, this doesnt mean he is free of scrutiny - i still watch with a critical eye because that's all he deserves right now.
