I agree, somewhat.

The big difference, though, is how the followers of the various religions express this intolerance.
Hence this thread.

The argument being presented is that the majority of Muslims are not violent.
I don't care about the +1 million Muslims that I will (most likely) never have a problem with, read about in the papers, or see on TV.

I do care greatly that there are nearly 200,000 followers of the Religion of Peace that live here and support overt violence.
I care greatly that one day, maybe today, another Muslim attack will be perpetrated on my fellow Americans.

One simply cannot compare the violence commited, in recent times, by Muslims to those of other religions.
The common denominator in virtually every conflict on earth today is Islamists that can't get along with their neighbor.

One can interpret that as everyone is out to get Muslims.
Or one can make the observation that Muslims are out to get everyone else.

If you truly believe that Mormons, Catholics, Protestants, Hindus, pose as great a threat to our well being/safety as Muslims, you are a fool.

I simply object to blaming the religion itself for the way it's interpreted by militants. It's no different than liberals blaming guns for murder statistics.

This is because their holy land is taken... They don't get along with their neighbors because they want to get at the holy land....

Only thing is that i know of atleast is that in the muslim religion they have clauses that state if they give someone warning that they will die if they don't follow the name of islam and that person doesn't convert. They now have justification to kill that person. Then again with the Christian Crusades... The Christians really can't talk either since they went around killing hundreds of thousands of innocent people and said any free thinking woman was a witch

A grossly oversimplified statement which demonstrates a lack of knowledge of the teachings of Mohammed.

Ya, the bible really isn't any better then the Kuran at ALL... Especially if you take the first testament(which is closer to what the Kuran is based off of atleast to my understanding). Both are basically drawn out processes on why you can kill someone in the name of God... I hate religion deeply... There are murders today in jail that still to this day say they are innocent for killing someone in the name of god and truely are pissed at the system because they honestly don't think they did anything wrong.

You're ignorant. Please stop posting. Your overall positions are not out of the realm of reason but you are completely incapable of supporting them in a semi-structured debate forum.

You don't just adhere to extremist Al Qaeda views because of the President's actions across the globe. We didn't get this reaction from the Japanese. We did get a similar reaction from American ***** during WWII as they tried to recruit American-Germans. But I don't think it was nearly the size of what we're dealing with now. Such views existed or were on the verge of existing because of these Muslims' already fundamental views.

If people stop and think why Bin Laden attacked us in 2001 then Al Qaeda views should have already existed in huge numbers here prior to 2002. There's substantial proof that Bin Laden did not attack us because we were a Western Government. He could of attacked a closer country to him if that were the case.

I was more kidding LOL, I think it might be accurate if you were talking about the increase of Al Qaeda in Iraq/Afghan but not so much in america
