I know you don't. Every time liberals get blamed for something, they scream Mcarthinism. The facts are the facts, and while I may not agree with everything Mcarthy did (he's was probbaly a bit crazy), he surely was succesful in exposing the corrupt, Soviet intel officers that served in congress ( especially the ones that advised the president.......Alger Hiss [spell?] ring a bell?

That Hiss sure was a bad guy. I bet he was also a terrorist!

Dude, the CIA had the guy on tape communicating with Soviet Intel along with other prominent Democrats. I'm trying to find a paper I wrote with some factual references I can give you. If can't find it, check out Ann Coulters Book, "Treason", she cites everything in that book with factual refernces that could be looked up at almost any library.

i'm not a liberal- neither am i conservative- i hate the categories.
but if i had to be put in one i guess it would have to be the conservative side.
i was born in the 70's. i remember ronald reagan on live t.v. i never really got into politics, but i support whoever has the right vision and is willing to stand even through his mistakes. i kinda like clinton because he presented a president who wasn't giving up just because of personal character flaws.

i think politics suck because the majority of debates turn into mudslinging versus finding a positive resolution. we put all blame into one man when in reality it was his administration also.

the same goes when we categorize everyone as one group or another. you are a liberal, therefore you are a tree-hugger-lesbian that hates war. or you are a conservative, therefore you are a gun-totin war lovin, bull-headed, with views that conflict your Christian faith, making rich richer...

i probably didn't hit everything but thats just what i know from limited exposure to politics. i like bush- thats my decision and i'm sticking to it. if kerry does win- i will still support him and hope that he and his administration make the best decisions for our country.

Alright check the link below out:

http://www.law.umkc.edu/faculty/proj...issvenona.html

These documents reference the Venona project. A project in which cabinet level democrats were busted sharing intel with the Soviets. The Democrats kept this shut for a while so the info wasn't released until 1996.

Yeah, they sure heated things up in class. Most of my professors where extreme liberals so they pinned the entire class against me. Luckily I majored in Computer Science and not Political Science. I would of probably been booted out of class, shot or failed if I would of taken any more political science/history courses. I actually enjoy ancient Greek/Roman history much more.

awesome period in time for sure. the first time i thought about the life of Christ was ironically in my most atheistic days in a History 4B class (ancient Rome).

after everything I had been taught, and with my liberal views in tow, i thought to myself, "Dang, Christ was a bad-***!"

I was fortunate enough to be living in Italy when I took the first of my Roman history courses. It was amazing to be able to walk the streets of Rome and visit all the places I studied about. Some of my favorite sites were surely the Colosseum, Pantheon and the Vatican city (St. Peters Cathedral and the Vatican Museum). Oddly enough, when visiting the Vatican about 3-4 times over the years, I began to look at the Catholic religion with some dismay, I wasn't sure if it was the golden walls, 25 ft marble statues or the golden caskets that made me feel this way.

Oh yeah, I love the Italian culture but when it comes to political issues it's a different story. In every corner it seems, there are gathering places for the FORZA movement. As you might already know, the FORZA, is a socialist/communist party in Italy, most Italians are Communist/Socialist beleive it or not.

Being from Cuban heritage, I despise communism. I remember dating an Italian girl for about 1 year, by then I was proficient enough in the Italian language to hold a political conversation. When I first met her father, we were all sitting at he dinner table having some wine and Cuban cigars that I had brought as a gift ( for her father and I). I guess since he knew I was Cuban, he assumed my political views were those of Fidel Castro. Now keep in mind that my grandfather was a political prisoner in Cuba for many years because of Castro, Anti-Castro feelings run up and down my entire family. Well, Francesca's [girlfriend] father, began making pro communist remarks and was talking about Fidel like he was a godamn hero. For the entire night, I shot back at him trying to disprove his political theories and opinions. He was a pretty sharp guy [doctor] so it was pretty hard to succesfully argue many points given I was using a language I was still learning. I for sure thought he hated me after that night, but then Francesca invited over the house again because she said her dad wanted to talk. When I came over, this bastard had his entire FORZA chapter at his house. They were all wearing these little green shirts with FORZA flags on them. I thought they were gonna execute my a$$....LOL. Luckily they turned out to be a pretty good group of people.
