Let's buy our way into the White House!
From Drudge:
Nearly a third of the fundraising 'pioneers' who helped put President Bush in the White House were appointed to positions in his first term, an ASSOCIATED PRESS review finds. Contributors received ambassadorships in Europe and seats on policy-setting boards; spouses won presidential appointments; many were rewarded with stays at Camp David and trips with U.S. delegations to events like the Olympics... It's taking Drudge 4 years to figure out what Palast wrote back in 2000, wow.
Read "The Best democracy money can buy" sometime, these guys are all about favors for cash.

Although I don't agree with the actions in these allegations, I'm not entirely surprised. People who support campaigns (all campaigns) and Bush’s reelection obviously have the highest interest or else they wouldn't have invested in the first place. Where's the demand for putting a man in the White House if there's no supply?
Whoever brought these allegations to the table better have evidence that votes were bought. If they don't have anything beyond that then it's really common sense if you ask me. Doing otherwise would be like a famished person buying a diet coke or paying a grand for a hand job.
