Reaching way way way back in time -
Since some of the original members of the club post over here too I thought i would test your memories to see if anyone actually remembers seeing this picture.
Ready?
This would be back towards the spring of 2000 during an install fest/BBQ type event. I remember seeing a Legacy that started out stock - but by then end of the day someone had put an RS front bumper on it. I don't remember if it was just for fun, or an actual swap, or even if I am just making up pictures of things like that in my mind.
Help?

Hey I was there at that meet.
It was at "Slide"s house and it was his green legacy L that had a RS front put on. I don't think he visits the site anymore. Awe the good old days before the WRX and there were only a handful of us.
And yes it was an actual swap.

His name was Charles. He lives in Orinda area now, I think. He used to live in Marin and work at a bar in Tiburon. His girlfrind (or maybe ex by now) was natural redhair. He is a pal of another old school i-Clubber who likes to experiment with intakes.
Now, who can tell me what this guy's name is?

FYI
That was Charley (aka Slide) who has/had a FAR from stock Legacy...fully gutted interior, GAB suspension, Cusco camber plates, larger sway bars, welded tower braces, MSD, extrude honed intake manifold, custom intake, MRT exhaust, Recaro racing seats, full custom dash...yada yada. That car has ceased to exist.
The other guy is N. Crawford...who's car is STILL not completely fixed by Cook's Collision...and as soon as it is fixed, it is going to be sold.
And there ya go.

Guess what Alex? The car is STILL jacked up.
When I tried to install the Leda's I noticed I had a bent rear lateral link. I took it to Cook's to have that fixed. Cook's replaced the lateral link and sent the car to German Auto Clinic to have the car aligned. German Auto Clinic aligned the car...and ground out the mounting points for the right rear Leda in order to "make it work".
I *****ed out my insurance carrier and Cook's...and sent the car back to them.
They put it on a frame jig and discovered that the car STILL wasn't completely "true"...then sent it back to me...WITHOUT fixing the damaged strut.
Cook's won't fix it 'cause Allstate won't pay for it. Allstate won't pay for it 'cause they say it is not part of the accident. German Auto Clinic claims the strut came to 'em that way.
I am THIS close to pushing that car over a cliff. I'd be more than happy to sell it for $10K right now...any takers?

It's beyond frustrating. The car is in and out of the shop constantly 'cause these @#$%holes never finish a job, or screw something else up while working on the car. It's driving me insane.
I can't take the car anywhere else either...Allstate won't let me. I mean I could take it someplace else, but then I would have to pay for it. And there is no WAY I'm gonna do that.
I love that car, and it still is one sweet machine. It's just not done...and I hate that. The second it is done I am going to sell it...and sell it for a song. I'm gonna get hosed on the sale but I really don't care at this point.
Am I gonna get another subie? Nah...I'm done with new cars...that is until I can afford something seriously awesome. Until then it's all about pre-73 and smog free!
I'll try to post here occasionally... Thanks for the thoughts.

Tachometer,
Is this a Body Shop you are having problems with??
I will find some info for you. There is this place you can call....that pays to have the car looked at. If it is not correct, the shop gets fined, they send it somewhere to get repaired correctly AND I THINK you get money from it all too!!
Let me get a hold of some info, maybe it can be of help to you.
I'll let you know.
Alex,
get your car painted yet??
