If you could go back to any period (back) in time, where would you go?
A discussion with my old physics teacher about this produced some really interesting results (among the class).
You have to keep in mind that you're going back in time and ANYTHING you do can affect the future (your present time), but if you're smart about it you can change things without changing the overall time-picture.
You get 10 days of time and you get to choose ANY period of time just as long as it's the past, not the future.
You can go back to the time of Jesus or you could go back to 1989 and invest as much money as you possibly could with Microsoft, lol... The choice is yours and everything is cool as long as you don't do anything to change the course of history that would affect the world (you getting rich beacause you invested money in a company isn't going to change anything really, but preventing 9/11 or the assassination of Lincoln (as good as that sounds) could lead to some MAJOR historical reprocussions that could effect everyone on earth in some way, be it good or bad, the problem is that we don't know and that's why altering the past is such a dangerous thing, so be wise in this fantasy time travel scenario.
With all that being said, where would you go and who would you see? There is no limit as to where you could go, and you automatically come back to the present time 10 days later. You can bring anything with you as long as you can have it on you (in your coat pocket, etc... No cars, houses, etc)
I know this is random as hell but the discussion we had in class was really fun, hearing the stories that everyone shared about their travel wishes really kept us entertained for a good 3 hours. Time flew by whereas usually it seems like time is going backwards (no pun intended) making it seem like the longest and most boring class ever. I know we can get some good ideas/stories from our fellow BAICers.

If i could go back in time i would go back when i was buying my Subaru in 05. I would get the STI instead of the WRX! I would be driving right now instead of it sitting on my driveway due to a broken tranny.

I'd probably go back to my years in college and not f-up around so much. Oh well, what's done is done. At least I finished (albeit a year or two later than I would have liked). It's not too late in my career to rewrite old bad habits and succeed.
