Hawaii soldier refuses to deploy to Iraq
I say he's setting up his own political career. His dad is a politician, it's not like he needed the money or the education, he probably could have bought his way into any school he wanted too. All the little ****er is doing is trying to make a name for himself, which is probably the reason he joined the military in the first place.

They should kick his a$$ out of the country. If he didnt want to go to war he should not have joined the Army. If he becomes some huge politician out of this it just goes to show you that if you can get your face on the news for something stupid and have a following you can do anything. They should send him to Iraq anyways because he, on his own will, rose his right hand and swore allegiance to the US and his Army.
I do not agree with what is going on over there, but if I had to go again to make the world a better place, I am there because that is my job.
What they should do is take away his commisioning, make him an E1 and then have him spend the next 4 years making little rocks into smaller rocks. Stupid punk a** p**** mother ******.

During Gulf War v1.0, there were several troops, Marines, sailors, & airmen that tried the CO routine.
A church in San Francisco sheltered a Marine that went yellow.
Hell, I briefly looked into sole surviving male discharge, but didn't persue it.
One guy in my unit that tried the CO route was laughed at by the brigade commander due to his tatoos.
On one fore arm, he sported a red-beret wearing skull w/ the words "Death From Above" and on the other arm "Death Before Dishonor".
How the **** do you play the part of a baby killer, and when given the chance, you **** yourself?
