I don't think that everyone is writing it off though. To me it just reinforces the notion that what we are doing in Iraq isn't helping us. We have gotten too far past the notion of helping the Iraqis and we are well into the occupation force category, however wrong that may be. We are not perceived well by anyone outside of our borders for what is going on over there. Do you honestly think that if we weren't in the middle of (what people think is) an unjust war that these types of homegrown terrorists wouldn't be so prevalent?

But these guys weren't too stupid to do serious damage even if they were dumb. They had access to rifles and had legs. That's all they needed to do serious work. My buddy was like, "dude, but they aren't al qaeda like the MSM is making them out to be." SO WHAT!
