Fort Dix?
Just did some reading. Werd Kudos for the guy being on his toes. From what I have read thus far two words stand out . "Sanctuary City" hmmmm. San Pablo Just declared themselves a SC as of last week. WTF is wrong with CA.
Go try to find this story, it's either not there or buried. Only network that has it on their home page was Fox. Not saying much, but that is the only one I found

I think those guys were pretty stupid for even thinking about attacking a military compound like Fort Dix. I would have liked to see how far that got with small arms fire. :violent-smiley-041:
My thought is that they wouldn't have gotten very far inside the entrance before dying.
I did find some stuff on MSNBC though.

Good work by the circuit city employee though....

This article says a lot
Just the tone of that paragraph seems to be the norm now. Homeland security is doing a great job and people are shrugging them off because they feel these groups' ideas were too far-fetched or that they were incapable because of stupidity. Maybe so. A lot of them and even these Ft. Dix guys were complete morons in trying to get RPGs, etc.
But the thing is they had access to automatic weapons and could have killed hundreds on base based on what I said in my last post. Unless there was some extreme heroism on base the body count could have passed the Virginia Tech death toll in half the time. It's a serious deal and those responsible for exposing their plot should be applauded.
I even got into an argument with a Muslim-sympathizing friend that kept undermining the ability of this group. He kept suggesting they were too stupid to do any damage. WTF?

I understand your point. While these guys may have been too stupid to do any damage.....The next guys might not.
I don't think that everyone is writing it off though. To me it just reinforces the notion that what we are doing in Iraq isn't helping us. We have gotten too far past the notion of helping the Iraqis and we are well into the occupation force category, however wrong that may be. We are not perceived well by anyone outside of our borders for what is going on over there. Do you honestly think that if we weren't in the middle of (what people think is) an unjust war that these types of homegrown terrorists wouldn't be so prevalent?
It's high time we had a clear exit strategy and got out. It isn't going anywhere. There is no "Mission Accomplished"
