I'm just wondering if this name for a Japanese car show offends anyone or is it just me?

In some parts of the English-speaking world, primarily the UK and Australia, that term is not considered offensive or derogatory to much of the general population.
It's a waste of energy to export our own brand of courtesy or political correctness to other cultures. Each society must develop these things based on their own experiences. Don't find fault where there is no malice intended.
