Even though going through the proper channels probably takes longer, was there a reason to be nondeserving of security simply because Bush put in an express lane?

Benjamin Franklin was the man but I hate this "in exchange for deserves nothing" crap. I'm glad Bush isn't going to reauthorize just because i'm a "by the book" type of guy. But you can have effective unpopular security measures and not expect to live in an Orwell novel. This is especially true considering the intentions are to catch madmen and not create some type of police state just because.

 

Don't take this the wrong way but if details are still secret then how do you know?

The idea isn't that far fetched. Cells have been infiltrated, some by numerous countries at one time. But you're right I suppose. Then again, I still proves psoper is smoking crack once again. There have been some convictions. Just goes to show you that some people chose to believe Bush's admin is far worse than it truly is.
