Exactly. I don't think Bush willingly lied, I believe he wants to do the best thing for the country, but that he is just not very smart. I think Cheney is capable of lying, maybe he did, maybe he didn't. The point is, we invaded a country which had not attacked us based on them having WMD's. If there was any reasonable doubt that they had WMD's, how can anyone justify the war?

I really don't think anyone lied, but I DO think some chicken hawks selectively presented data, and selectively presented interpretations of that data in such a way to make a case for war. Misled/lied...tomato/tomahto. Fact: Thousands of civilans dead, a thousand US soldiers dead, 100's of billions spent, allies disenfranchised. History will show this as a very dark time for the United States.

Got any links?
There's a lot of links via Google and tons on information in your history books from Somalia and Rwanda to Iraqi air strikes and Bosnia.

We even started a nice little link of Clinton facts here: https://www.i-club.com/forums/showth...hlight=clinton

Don't get off topic of this thread. If you want to post about Clinton quiet and ignored tactics VS. Bush’s open and robust tactics then you can post in that thread.

Fewer of OUR people died, at least in the given time span, and that's what is important. To be fair... Clinton was in office OVER twice as long... was he not?

Not as much... no. Hey man, I always said "don't label me a liberal." I'm a moderate Dem at best. Don't get me wrong, any death for the wrong reason (i.e. Iraq) is a bad thing. But I do value the lives of fellow americans over a citizen of any other nation.

Now you know what it feels like to be labeled.

To lie is to say something that you know is wrong and pretend it is true.
None of you have demonstrated that Bush knew he was wrong about the WMD.
The alternative is that he didn't know he is wrong. Certainly dishonesty is a possibility, but you can not discount incompetence. That's what I was getting at.

Well, here's how he treats his friends..

Do a search for casualities, both civilian & otherwise, in Kosovo, Somalia, Iraq, etc.
He's personally responsible for every Ranger, Delta, & 10th Mountain troop killed in Somalia, as he prohibited needed weapon system from being deployed.

"This is George W. Bush arriving on the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln on May 1st, 2002, to announce the end of "major combat operations" in Iraq. Since then, over 900 US troops have died in Iraq. Critics have suggested that this episode was a Karl Rove-organized publicity stunt, more part of the 2004 election campaign than the campaign against terror. As we can't read anyone's thoughts, we'll leave it there, and let the reader make up his own mind.

What is not a matter of opinion is that this President has spent an unprecedented amount of his presidency campaigning and fund-raising. In contrast to the invasion of Iraq, which appears to be suffering from a lack of planning at the top, the effort poured into Bush's re-election effort has been phenomenal. The job of President is very hard work."

HAHAHAHA! That website you posted is PURE nutjob, Oaf! You seem like a pretty level headed person, so I assume you posted that as a joke, right?

I encourage everone to do some browsing of the links on the left. Some pretty kookie shiznit. Here's an example...

" Prophecies show the September 11 (9-11) terrorist attack very specifically..."

I'm gonna be reading this site for hours.

Here's another: "Establishing this government of God will not come easily. Satan and his minions have invested so much in their plan, they are not going to go without a fight. But the weapons of this war must be the principles of truth and righteousness, not the tools of the arm of flesh. If we had to face the devil's kingdom on his own terms, we would most assuredly fail. But instead we must place our trust in almighty God, repenting of our sins and turning our hearts to him, and he will stand by us, and with him we will prevail. This is the promise he has given down through the ages. And that such an ultimate victory will take place in these latter days is a truth seen by prophets, poets and sages since the beginning of time. May we awake and put on strength, as the great prophet Isaiah implored of us. May the kingdom of God go forth triumphant, that the kingdom of heaven may come, that the will of God may be done on earth, even as it is in heaven."

Sounds like they advocate more of a holy crusade than a war on terror. So who's advocating jihad now?

Yeah... I meant to specify that. I wasn't making fun of the specific list you posted, just some of that other junk on the left. What's funny is that the geico commecial was on the History channel when I posted that... that's where I got the idea!

ENJOY! http://www.muchosucko.com/video-geik...obotdance.html

the very last pose the gekko strikes is EXACTLY the same as Bush's in that photo (sans flight helmet)
