ah... oh wait... this isn't a laughing matter. This ******* killed thousands of soldiers because he didn't listen to Gen Powell, didn't want to NOT go in there and didn't want to have a strong showing at the beginning.
Nope, lets bomb them, roll in... mission acomplished...
no WDM? No biggie, we got congress and the american people by the *****...
oh ****! Al Quaeda showed up? ****, now what do we do?! Damn, we're getting hosed... afghanistan? **** that hell hole, iraq is where the oil is dammit. send in teh surge!
and we're STILL there. And we want to be there until 2015?!? Iraq wants us out by 2011 at the latest... But lets just ignore the iraqi people:
Who want us out, like, years ago!!
but **** them too right? cause it's not like it's their country anymore... It's a ****ing insurgent infested commonwealth of the US, and we made it that way.

Silly n00b....
The cracks in the economy started the summer of '99, when the tech bubble went pop.
All those ding dongs that were artificially inflating dot com stocks then shifted over to the housing markets, and oil futures, etc.
Bush did not cause this mess, but he certainly has done **** to fix it.
Instead of bailing out the very companies that ****ed everything up, that $700 billion could have given every person in the USA about $2300.
Now that could have stimulated the economy....

I suggest the 2300 dollar payment as an alternative to paying Big Business; nothing will really change except that people will get back their money.

Bush did not start or cause this mess, but his administration basically dismissed any predictions that the housing market was going to collapse if nothing was done.

I agree with this 1000%
I don't believe Paul is saying the .com crash was the root cause. He's saying that the .com boom was artificial. When it crashed, the housing market was the new money maker, so that became a huge artificial bubble primed to burst.
