Currently my RSB is disconnected from the endlink (snapped the bolt or worked the nut off, one of the two) so I essentially have NO RSB. I can still easily create off-throttle oversteer. It just takes more speed than it used to. More speed, or gravel. The RSB set at the high (24mm) setting just makes it easier to do it. I have never really been able to get WOT oversteer. In fact, at the track I use WOT to regain traction and recover from AWD drift... except that one time when I didn't and....

I have the stock tires and can easily get the rear to come around with the throttle. I have just over 200hp at the wheels and YOU can't really say what my car will and won't do.... because I drive it everyday. Maybe the roads where I live don't have as much traction???? My car gets the rear end to come around with throttle on stock tires and I and power out of turns WOT without the front puching like when stock. So whether you say it can be done or not I do it everyday.

I don't suppose you can make it out to CA for Imprezer's recently announced Track Day in March? It'll be fun!

Well dude, what can I say? I suppose if you tell me you can fly I should just accept that too right?
I mean after all it's you who are flying every day and I can't tell you what your body can and cannot do right? Anyway if you can get your car to rotate by stomping on the gas that's awesome! When I plant the throttle in mine it flies off the road, or tries to before drastic measures like stabbing the brakes and such. Anyway you must be one of the lucky few who got the RWD WRX's, I heard they snuck a few of those in with the AWD ones just to surprise people!
For the not-so-fortunate I also suggest stiffening the rear up and putting some more pressure in the front tires for better turn in. Don't expect RWD power-over though... Lift throttle or feint/scandinavian flick will most def. bring the rear around though.

no need to get upset at people, just cause 99% of the people out there don't agree with your solution to solving the understeer problem.

Well, actually...
Silver arrow may not be halucinating
It all depends on the car and the setup. There may be a completely plausable and rational explanation for what mr.arrow may be experiencing.
Silver arrow, you mentioned that your setup is stock. Have you ALWAYS been able to do the power oversteer, or did you rotate tires and/or change tire pressure/do an alignment? Are you getting oversteer off-throttle? Are you sure only the rear is sliding out under throttle, or do you have a bit of slip from the fronts as well?
I noticed that by just rotating tires, (bold in the back, plenty of thread in front) or by doing alignment and/or changing tire pressure the car's character changes drastically. So, I got to give Silver arrow a benefit of the doubt, especially since he is so adamant about it.

Drifftah, baby!!!
i did that with my old re92s just prior to their eventual demise. I drifted ALL THE WAY down a cloverfield off-ramp on Nash next to LAX in the rain. Bunch of fun, but potentially dangerous!

Yeah, baby!
When my RE92s were getting really bald (at 26K mi) I decided to really let'em have it. I wanted them to die so I could get better tires. It was fun burning them up and getting into all-wheel drifts around corners. Not the fastest way to get around the track but very fun. Finally I literally melted them off at Hyperfest in Fontana. I had chunks missing after 3-20 minute runs around the track!
