Do you have a planned ride height and if so what is it? Do you plan on doing any track days or auto-x sessions or is it just a daily driver that sees some backroads?

If you end up going with GC’s you will be better off with Koni’s. The front top hats take up a lot of bump travel and there is a guy that sells spacers that allow you to drop the insert around 1”.

I like my Koni GC combo with top mount GC C/C plates but if I had it to do again I would probably just buck up for a good set of coilovers.

i wont do any autox or anything. i was thinkin prodrive to get some performance and a good even drop without going too low. i have yet to see how low the prodrives drop the car though. i wanna get some coilovers, but then ill be too tempted to drop the car low and i'll probably hardly even raise it. might as well get springs.

Sounds like a good choice. If you end up wanting some struts and you don't mind spending a little extra money and install time I'd go with Koni's.

Here's a pic of a RS (not mine) with Prodrives https://www.i-club.com/forums/attach...chmentid=20481. The best looking drop for a WRX IMO.

I hear that people get good results with the Prodrive springs.
Anyone have a pic of them on their car?

Thumbs up KYB GR-2's & Swift Machs

Swift is a great spring and is a perfect marriage with the KYB GR-2s... the ride is seriuos without bouncing and there is no crash on short harsh bumps. The car tracks like it is on rails to boot. I think they offer the perfect drop.

To see pictures look in my VbGarage. Did I mention 'wagon specific' springs? Which also works for sedans with a ton of subs etc in the trunk. Be sure to use 'wagon specific' KYB's as well if you DO have a wagon.

Ground Controls + Koni Yellows. Might be more expensive up front, but will be worth it in the end. Konis have a lifetime warranty with any drop height, while KYBs don't.

If you don't need height adjustability, I'd go with a good set of springs like the Prodrives. They ride great, and I've seen them perform extremely well.

coilovers are so tempting right now... i guess i might go with the prodrives or swift springs. any recommendations between the two?
