I need springs that retain suspension geometry (was: what should i get)

Okay, hopefully i haven't gotten the rap for posting bs threads cuz... this one is SERIOUS !
I need springs!!! what should i get? I got an 05 STi w/ stock suspension.. and just picked up 18x8.5 gram lights w/ 255-40-18 tires.
I need to drop my car enough to "tuck" em'... but not so much as to where my car would be "slammed"
I was thinking with going Swift for springs which would provide a clean drop and maintain the stock geometry of my suspension...
Anyone out there runnin 18's w/ a clean drop??? if so whatcha got
and I was told that rolling my fenders is a must, so i'm thinking LIC for that..
TIA peeps!

Jon

if want a nice tuck but not slammed get the swift. The sti pink springs don't even lower ur car very much. I mean don't get me wrong they r great springs but you won't get that "tuck" that your looking for. Plus with the swift it's not low enough where you would need to roll ur fenders. You have an 05 right? So your rear fenders r a little wider. The s-techs r great for looks I have those on my car i'm also running 18x8.5 with 245-40-18's and they rub like a motha....But i'm gonna cut my fenders eventually whenever I have time to solve that issue. So yeah if you want to have a real nice tuck get the s-tech but you will have issues. The swift springs are better quality but ur car won't be as low and at least it will be a little lower then the pinks and ur car will have a nicer stance without bad rubbing issues.

sorry to be so blunt about it....
if you dont know the differences between the springs and which would work best for you.. i dont think it really matters which ones you get. go for the color u think is prettiest or somethin

s.techs will destroy suspension geometry and kill your shocks. they're for looks, not handling.

i will send you some pics of my car with the pinks on them later today. need to get some downloaded on my computer.

the s-techs are nice springs, but are to harsh for the stock struts to handle.

Crucial Racing springs will drop your car as much as the STi pinks and even .25 inches lower in the front for cheaper price. Crucial is also progressive all the way around , but the STi Pinks are only progressive in I forget if it's the front or the backs. The rates are also identical. I do not suggest you go with the S-Techs since they are , like everyone else said, not good for stock shocks or handling. They lower the car a lot. I think I've seen drops from Tanabe's GF210's, they look wonderful, but have no idea about the spring rates or the drop. I suggest you just compare spring rates, drop height, and price, which should be damn easy to find on the internet.

Some springs you can look into are.

Tein's, Prodrive's, Crucial, STi, Tanabe, Swift, H+R, Eibach's, and...basically just go to vendor's website and look through them. Then search for pics for the drop you like.
