Thumbs up Tein RA creaking noise fixed

I had a horrendous creaking/squeaking sound coming from the rear after installing the Tein RA coilovers. It drove me nuts and didn't know why or what was causing it.

I found out the problem and fixed it. It was the rear coils. I had the car on jackstands, and the wheels off while doing the brakes. I was looking at the rear coilovers, and decided to see if I could turn the springs while the weight of the vehicle was off. I ended up rotating the coils and worked them back and forth (didn't know if it would do anything). After putting the wheels back on, and while driving around I noticed the creaking sound went away.

Woohoo!

Those are the coilovers I am looking into, how so you like them (besides the squeek)?

These are the track coilovers and they are very stiff, they keep the tires stuck to the pavement. Also, there is plenty of suspension drop when you lift the car up off the ground, due to the helper coilover at the top. In short, I love them!

Is stiffness because of the spring rates or are they valved that aggressively?

I would say a little both. The spring rates are a bit higher, plus I have the damping set almost at the hardest.

No squeaking/creaking... it's pretty quiet now.
