Question Tein Flex Coilovers Any Good?

I'm a suby newb but have always wanted a nice set of coilovers. I have a pretty nice offer on the table for some used Flex's and I was wondering what people have thought about them. Any owners out there? I'm a bit nervous but I know if I'm unhappy I could always sell them again. Feedback PLEASE! I will track my car here and there, but not much... I want something prety universal. I've heard they are stiff, but couldn't I just put some different springs on there?

If you are worried about them being too stiff just get some Tein Basics, they are cheaper and sound more like what you are looking for.

Very nice coilovers. My buddy had it in is Rsx-s handles like a beast around corners. If i had 1600 for a suspension i would go for it,

I have tein flex's. If your looking for something that is more streetable go with the super street ones. Alot of people say good things about the BC coilovers. Tein flexs are very stiff even on the softest setting.

BC racing...you can't beat 95 bucks per a coilover to replace your blown coilover....if your looking for comfort then just get shock and spring combo because then your just wasting money getting height adjustable coilovers. if your gonna get coilover make sure they atleast have damping control. Not to hurt anyones feeling but thats how what i view about coilovers...

Trial and error. It all depends on what you are looking for. Worse case scenario, is if you don't like them, you can sell them and try something new.

I agree, but if you do want Coilovers. I have Tanabe's Sustec Pro S-0C Type II coilovers on my WRX and I love the ride and stance of the car.

I've heard that the Tanabe coilovers (street stuff, not the racing ones) are a good streetable coilovers but someone said that they weren't built to endure heavy motorsports. I heard that under normal use, that it'll provide a nice ride as well as last awhile with little problems.

You are exactly right. I only do weekend Auto x. It gives me more performance then springs and it has a real comfortable ride.
