STi springs on WRX
I'm looking at picking up a set of '05 STi springs for my '05 WRX sedan. I've been told by one source that I can just swap them out directly with my stock springs with no modifications needed (maybe just alignment). After doing some research I'm not so sure this is true and that I'm going to be spending a lot more money than just the springs and an alignment (would be doing the swap myself). In swapping in STi springs I was hoping to get a slight drop and increase the handling performance. How much of a difference can I expect as far as ride height/stiffness. Weight difference of 2.5 vs 2.0 I'm thinking it may actually raise the car? Not sure what to expect. Is it a direct fit/easy swap or am I in for a headache?... help! Any other suggestions for any other not too expensive spring setups that would give a decent ride on the road but still work for auto-x and tracking once in awhile? Don't really have the money for new struts right now so trying to find something that will work with my stockers (45k miles).
Thanks
Thanks
