Suspension advice under $1k
Ive been reading other posts and am just looking for some solid advice. Be nice this is my first time here in years.
Basically I want to spend under $1k (probably more like 800) for struts / springs. I already have front and rear sway bars and 17" OZ rims and Kumho tires. I've got a track day coming up in 6 weeks and am looking for somethings more fun, but I wont be on the track more than 2-3 times a year, so daily driving fun is more what Im after.
For struts its seems to come down to KYB or Koni. Im leaning towards the Konis. But I've heard the KYBs may be easier to install.
Springs Im up in the air on, and would be happy with just about any of them (prodrive, sti).

I have the AGX's which I got for $389 shipped from pst. For $389, they can't be beat. Add some springs of whatever flavor for ~$250...That leaves room for strut tops, and a few bushings for under a grand, I should think.

Most people consider the Koni to be better dampers than the AGX, but they are much more difficult and/or expensive to install. AGX is much simpler and still works very well with a variety of springs.

Anyhow, the WGNs are $895 at Gruppe-S and I'd get them, except that I'm waiting for the Basics to come out. I've driven in a wagon with the WGNs and its awesome. Nice ride quality and just stiff enough for some roadcourse play. Truly a progressive feel. Now, I haven't tried them on a sedan yet, although they will fit... another reason to wait for the Basics.

I got the SPT struts/springs for $571 shipped from W&L Subaru: http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show...hreadid=416885 (sale ends 10/31) and the Sti tops for $223 shipped from www.rallispec.com .
So far I like the setup, it falls within your cost and it was recommended secondary to the P1 kit($1500).
