Strange problem with Eibach on 2K4 STI
A short while ago I had Eibach springs installed on my 2004 STI and I have had a problem since. The problem is that often when I pull into an inclined driveway or parking lot at angle one of the rear springs comes unseated (with a loud pop and crunch noise) causing the car to sit crooked. Of course, this also causes the car to dart around and not track in a straight line – at least until I can pull into a driveway and get the spring to pop back again.
Every time I bring the car back into the dealership to have it looked at – even if the car is sitting crooked when they bring it in – as soon as they lift the car off the ground the spring pops back into place.
I have never had a problem like this with a lowered car before and I’m having a hard time imagining that the problem is with the springs, and the only other thing I can think it might be is the upper perch.
Anybody have any ideas what the problem might be before I take it back and demand that they pull it all back apart to localize what the problem is?

I have an 03 WRX and this has happened to me as well.... I think its a manufacturing issue with the spring. It might be intersting to contact eiback and complain... they might replace them for free.
