Steering Problem

Ok so about a month or so ago i start hearing this noise comming from the wheel well of my 02 wrx wagon. The noise is comming from the driver nad passenger sides. So I take it into Pepboys, and they notify me that my out cv boots on both sides are leaking but there are no tears or holes to be found. So like a good consumer I go buy the two front axles from a friend who works at an auto parts store and take it to be installed at a local shop. They install the axles realign the car and send me on my way. Couple days later I hear a noise come back sounds sort of like a clicking noise when I turn to the right. Im thinking its just the cv boot expanding, needing to be broken in. So couple days later I take it back into the shop that did the axels, he fiddles with the car and says the bearing in the top front strut mount(top hat) on the passemger side needs to replaced. So I go home to think bout it. And I get this great idea to shoot wd40 down the top of the strut and round the base of the top of the mount. The noise goes away. But then a new problem on the driver side developes. This noise is different than what was going on w/ the top hat on the other side. Its mroe like a creaking rubbing noise. Had a friend ride in it tonight and he thought it was my steering rack and pinion going out.
So what do I do? Take it back to the shop that did my axles, and tell em the problem started when they installed the axles? Go find a shop that does a courtesy check and see what they tell me? thanks for the help

Stats on my car:
02 wrx wagon
84k ish miles
Pretty current on all maintenance
KYB STI SPT struts w/ eibach wagon springs

I would suggest taking it to somewhere familiar with Subaru's that will spend the time to drive around with you and take a look. Any good performance places by you that work on Subaru's?
