Power Steering Problem...
I'm not sure where this thread goes. So, I put it hear let me know where I should be if not here.
Well, here is the deal. Yesterday I go out to my car and I see a puddle underneath it. After looking at it I found that power steering fluid was leaking from the pipe that goes from the reservoir in the engine compartment to the piece below the car next to the transmission? What looks like an adapter type piece was loose. So, I tightened it and now no more leak. I then took for a testdrive around the block and it still makes this sound which a power steering pump will make when it is dry.
The reservoir is still full I did notice that the level of fluid went down a little bit. However, with the amount of power stering fluid that I left in the driveway I would expect the reservoir to be empty.
I guess my question is why is the fluid not being sucked out of the reservoir and going to the pump?

You probably sucked in some air when you were leaking all of the fluid out of your power steering reservoir. When air is introuduced into the system it cannot pump because there is air in the system. That is why it is still making that noise. What you need to do is search for how to bleed your power steering system.

Thanks for the reply... I took the car into the dealership cause I had no clue what to do to fix it. So, now i'm waiting for them to call me back and tell me what was wrong with it... or what they want to tell me is wrong with it for that matter.
They did tell me that there were some o rings which weren't seated properly. Not sure where though.
