can anyone recommend me some lowering springs that will work with stock shocks?? i dont want to sacrifice ride comfortability...

STi Pink springs will give your car a conservative drop (about an inch) and I understand they work well with the stock struts.

Another consideration are the Cobb's sport springs. According to their website, they are made to work with the stock struts; however, they give a more aggressive drop -- 2.0 inches in the front and 1.5 inches in the back.

I am also considering going only springs but I don't want to sacrifice too much ride comfort and I don't want things to in my car to start rattling. If others have more suggestions, please share!

the only thing about the sti pinks is that it hardly lowers the car and one inch all around still has that noticable front end gap that is still higher than the rear. i would like to even it out so that both the front and rear look evenly dropped.

^^^ That's true. It sounds that you're not too concerned with the drop height as you are with having even wheel gaps in front and back. In that case, as has been mentioned by others, consider Eibach Prokit, Prodrives, Cobb, or SR-R downs. These springs work with your stock struts and drop a little more in front than in the rear.

eibach is a reputable brand and from pics ive seen, the drop seems pretty even, not too low or too high. you should do a search for some reviews on these springs.

Those whitelines look like a great deal though.
I have the Whiteline Ground Control springs installed on my 02 WRX. The drop is even, slightly lower in the front so that the wheel gap looks a bit more even. These are springs for driving performance, not for looks -- the drop is less than 3/4". It gives the car a nice, solid "stance" (especially with 17" or 18" wheels) but gives you factory clearance when on bumpy terrain (or going up over a driveway curb). Overall the ride is comfortable, but noticeably stiffer; corner response is great and high-speed travel (highway) is smooth and confident. I don't get the "seasick" feeling of my friend's over-lowered car which bobs on the highway like a ship at sea...

I sold my FLEXs and replaced them with Spec C springs and struts. I love my new suspension, the coilovers were great but I like this new setup alot better for daily driving. The down side is that I do alot of track days and I can feel the slight loss in handling. The damping feels similar to the FLEXs but the spring rates are alot lower. I bought the Spec C setup for $600 from www.jdmpartstx.com with ~4k miles on them.
