STi Genome

Here is a thread I posted in the "other" site:

I'm very happy with this setup for a controlled but not harsh, daily driver. One other alternative to replacing the springs/struts is to just upgrade the front/rear swaybars, add an Anti Lift Kit, heavy duty endlinks, and a good alignment. I was very happy with my setup before i installed the suspension. Car was vastly improved over stock but was still nice and compliant over the rough stuff. Its something to consider as a first step, because its cheaper and a good performance value for the money.

What about the Tein Wagon kit? It has very soft spring rates when compared to the sedan versions.

Might be hard to find another review as I might have the only set in the US. but if you are in the area i'd be more than willing to give you a test drive!

As it is, the Praxis system looks very interesting. Mercedes has been doing the air suspension thing for quite awhile, so its actually not new technology. so hopefully the Praxis will be pretty bug free when it hits the streets.

I have the full SPT(STi) kit, including the the front control arms on my 03 WRX sedan. I love. Its not that harsh, and as for slowing down over railroad tracks, I don't think so. You will notice the amount of rebound in the suspension. Where the stock suspension glides over certain ripples in the street, the SPT setup will skip. On high frequency abrupt changes is the only place I can fault the suspension. But otherwise I feel its a great street setup. My wife thinks its fine, likes the way it got rid of all the "leaning" in her words.

Although, after this one wears out, I would copnsider something like that praxis system.
