Do they have 06'-specific flex units? (haven't checked the tein website)

If the Tein Flex Dampers you ordered are for an 04', I don't think they would work. Last I heard, was they changed the hub mounting bolts a little in the 2005 STi's, so I assume the 2006 is almost the same as the 05's if not completely different.

Just a heads up.

If you install the flex units, you should get an alignment when you're satisfied with the ride height. Reason being, any change in camber and stuff will give you toe in/out, which eats your tires. You may need camber bolts in the rear depending on if you want to adjust back to spec or not.

hey wassup caterpill...

well its good to hear from a local braddah since im here in north cakalacka!!! anyways, i had a 01 celica gts with tein basic coilovers but i had to get a rear camber kit for it, then i got the alignment done. the 05 and 06 is the same but just a matter of cosmetics is the difference. but looking at the pictures on the tein website http://www.tein.com/ti/s66.html it looks like the rear slightly cambers negative. im all about performance, granted a little camber performs better, but looks is also my concern too. i'd rather have it looking straight instead of negative. also the tires will last longer. but yup, anybody else can help me here. well gotta go back work... aloha

Ahh.. Didn't see your location, I had no idea

You up there on military business or just decided to leave the island?

Well I totally forget if the tein flex comes with rear camber plates (hmm..) I'm just assuming they don't; actually the camber in the rear should be fine, it's just that its a bit past spec, due to the drop. The Tein Flex comes with camber-adjustable plates in the front, so I think if you set that a little negative, you should be fine. Just set the toe to 0 both front and rear (I think you already know, haha) to save your tires.

I know a guy with an 05' STi that has Espelir springs, almost as low as the s-tech, camber in the rear was not too bad. I think the reason why the tein website's picture looks a but much in the rear is because the front hardly has any negative camber at all, making the rear seem worse.

I talk too much..

Was I of any help?
