brake pads?
i've noticed my brake pads need to be replaced, so i would like to know what a good brand to get would be? i'm looking for a street use only for the stock calipers. thanks jerry
I've heard good things about Porterfields, Hawk, Carbotech and Stoptech pads so far... Axxis ultimates seem to also be a cheap favorite if not for the dusting. But I don't think ultimates are available yet for the 04 model. I just put a set of Stillen pads on my 04 (along with SS brake lines and ATE Superblue fluid). So far, no complaints. A little more responsive, but I wonder if different pads will make more of a difference.
As far as I can tell, I don't think you can really go wrong - see what's in your price range and check out a few dealers sites like Oakos.com and Subydude.com to see what they're offering...
Good luck,
-C

I have the widely complained about EBC greenstuffs on my OBS, but all I have to complain about is the dust. They resist fade nicely on the freeway, and have served me well in a few 'sudden braking' situations.
Wow! I need to replace mine the rear pads looks good but the front are reaching the rotor.
can anybody tell me if the WRX pads comes in a set of 2 or 4 pads in a box...???? what is the price...
