I've been in a few cars with the GC Sleeves. As long as you get reasonable spring rates and new GR2 or AGX struts, you should be ok. Having run 3 sets of full coilovers on my 93, i can't recommend them for daily use because of the ride quality.

from my experience the best coilovers for the 92-94 bc legacy are dms 50's.
I use them on my 1994 sport sedan. spring rated are 400 at all 4 corners.
ride is smoother than my sti.
I sell the dms's and others.

The best coilovers come with the most painful pricetag. 50s are really nice, but retail for more than the blue book of the car

I'm with you kelley, but the Turbo is in a whole different category than an L. If the L were going to be upgraded dramatically, then i wouldn't be so dismissive of an expensive coilover setup. I just hate to see people get something they think they want, and lose their shirt doing it.

The GC sleeves and some GR2/AGX stand as my recommendation for a near-stock 93 L.

I see your point.
for a strut and spring set up, I always liked the prodrive (bilstien stut and eibach spring setup for gc) on the bc the best. very smooth ride with good handleing.
except it sits a bit low in the rear.
