For anyone with an STi
Well, this weekend I decided since AVO is going to bless my STi with a ton of power (for free) that I should get started on some of the other things. So I removed my Offset crash bar (the U shaped one) and I installed front and rear Perrin sway bars with Perrin endlinks, and then being a glutton for punishment I installed the Perrin P.S.R.S. (anti-lift kit, only bearings instead of bushings). And I'm in love, I haven't changed my springs yet (they're still in the mail I guess) but the difference is huge, it's much more responsive (think go-cart), and the turn-in is much quicker. Next I have planned is springs (Tanabe), Steering rack bushings (whiteline) and a front chassis brace (cusco) anybody have any other suggestions?? After I get the suspension fairly decent I'm going to go with SS brake lines and Project Mu pads.
Cheers,
Joel

As long as your happy with their level of damping, Stock STI struts OWN koni inserts.
STI = 40mm inverted twin-tube

also the stock struts are actually made to match to the STI pink springs, so they handle lower stiffer springs quite well already

Actually Krinkov I'm not running the subframe "brace" because it does nothing. So also that makes the cusco brace not fit, but being a subaru shop we solved that in a subaru way. We took some of the solid spacers for the stock rear diff cover to drop the Cusco brace a little in the back and it works great now. As for springs, I'm testing out the '04 prototype springs that Perrin is making for them. So far I like them a lot, the drop is a little much for my taste but the performance is startling. I have to say, when they give me my free production set, I'll probably use them. I'll keep everyone posted.

They are coming to our shop to work on some products they want to bring to the US market for the USDM cars i.e. STi and Legacy GT. So we're going to be using my STi and our new shop project '05 Legacy GT. Plans for my car are either the AVO 600 turbo or a new hybrid they are working, also some other things that I can't really talk about yet but should be pretty exciting. I'm a huge AVO fan so I'm super excited; they're even sending us one of their technicians. I'll be sure to keep everyone abreast of what's happening.

Sweet turbo, but you wont get anywhere near its full potential on a stock US STI bottom end

If you can spring the dough, I would look into the following TEIN coilover sets:
Type HG, Type HT, and Type RS.
The HGs are meant for rallying, but you can get them with stiffer springs, and they handle great on the street and track, and they really soak up poor road conditions.
The HT and RS are Tein's high-end coilovers for street & track use.
All of these sets come with exterior oil reservoirs; they're sick!
