If I knew anyone who blew money on one of those, I think I'd have to hurt them. It's basically an overpriced, cosmetically done over, slightly tuned STi. One can do soooo much more with a new STi and the cash price difference between buying one of those. Bonus: I didn't think it was really possible to provide a color scheme that screams "pull me over" more than stock, but I guess ESX proved me wrong.

All true, plus it's being sold by Octane Cars. They have pretty ads and awesome pictures but WOW - the prices are insane. They currently have an '04 STi for sale for $29k!!

ESX does these red/white mildly modded STis (the re-spray has to be the majority of the cost). SPT you know and Octane is a SF based car dealer that I believe offers track time and possibly education as a package with the cars.

I am friends with one of the owners of Octane. They deal in performance and some exotic cars. They are an independant car dealer/broker. They find cars that have been pampered and taken care of for customers. They are not beaten on, modded and are always showroom quality. Octane usually provides a track day with the purchase of a car. I have seen that ESX car in person, and while I don't like the appearance my self, that car looks like a showroom car. Keep in mind, the ESX car is still covered under the Subaru warranty.
Not my cup of tea, but to each his own.

The paint scheme doesn't match the car, american muscle paint scheme on a japanese car.

+1 for octane, I know one of the owners and he's a very cool guy.

not so sure about the ESX modifications though.
