What did I do wrong???

Hi guys, need some expert advise here. I have just finished installing the
Goodridge brake lines, purge the whole system, install the ferodo pads.
Now here is the thing, with the new brake lines. I thought it some to
improve brake fade and responsiveness. Unfortunately the brakes still
fade and it travels alot. So what did I do wrong??

I had a pain of a time when I did my SS lines / pads / fluid. I remember bleeding the brakes the first time and they felt great, but over the course of a week my pedal got softer and softer. I probably had to bleed mine 5 or more times (without draining the whole system) and finally some air came out. My best advice is bleed multiple times and they see if the pedal keeps feeling consistent after a few days, if so then you should be ok. Also use the proper bleeding order front right, rear left, front left, rear right > FYI I did this on a 99 2.5RS. Hope this helps good luck.

ok bud I'll just do a lil thing on bleeding lines for dummies becuase i don't know your skill level.

On the calipers themselves is a lil capped off spot that has i believe a 10m bolt on it.

Too bleed the lines correctly you may not even need to take the wheel off but it would be easier to monitor it with them off. Just do them one at a time and make sure you add brake fluid when you move to the next one.

Ok to begin its neccassary to have two people unless you have a quick bleed system.

First take the cap off the bleeder valve stem.

Have a buddy pump the lines with the car off until the pedle is firm. Have him hold down the peddle to the floor if neccesary when bleeding the lines. Do not let go of the pedle this will only suck air into the lines.

Next loosen the bleeder valve by a quarter of the way. When done bleeding or if your buddies pedle reaches the floor tighten and repeat the pumping then bleeding process.

Do this with each line until your brakes are air free

Also remember to monitor your brake fluid levels here.

Happy motoring as alex would say

Oh I forgot to mention, the brake padel is nice and firm when
the car is off. Once I started the car, there is like a two inches
brake padel travels. Also I didn't see any bubbles while
I was purging the system.

I had that happen. Just pump some fluid out of the lines your change with the method i described. It helped me when i painted a friend calipers. Noticed some fade then bled the brakes and got all that air out. Wasn't even alot just like a lil bubble.

cicciolina, did you ever let the master cylinder run dry while bleeding? It sounds like you have air far up in the lines, not in the calipers. Try bleeding the brakes continuously until you've used up all the fluid you have left (you don't want to keep leftover fluid around anyway) and hopefully those last few bubbles will clear the bleeder.
