did i install the bar wrong?

hey guys...

easy question. I have a cusco rear sway and perrin rear endlinks on my car. But i think i installed it wrong.

The picture has it on the outside. I have the endlinks on the inside of the bar... Thanks for the help guys!
My camera isn't working so special thanks to : http://www.cardomain.com/ride/435975 for the pic.

It looks right to me. How does the other side look? You should have installed it on ramps. The rear suspension should be loaded. Don't put it up on jack stands. Put the wheels on, set it on the ground. Loosen your mounts and try to recenter the bar.

If the sway ends are centered on the center of each endlink, you probably have the STI bar, which will not work properly on the WRX unless you change the lower arms and link style to the STI ones.

Are you sure you have the right bar?

If indeed you have the right one, it might be due to having the suspension unloaded.

non perrin bars look funny when installed with perrin endlinks. The endlinks are kind of tweeked looking. but that's normal. take a picture from the back of the car. Looks like you did it right.

The new perrin mounts and bar are like every other bar so yeah... before the mounts were too damn tall.

Uh... i did it on jackstands oops.

btw.. the picture is what i did NOT do. just to make sure. lol. guess i have to go out and buy some ramps. I'm really skinny and small. I tried to do it when the car was on the ground w/out ramps, but wasn't able to muscle the endlinks around to fitting. So i jacked it up a lil until it was easier to match up. I'll go get my digicam.

by jacking the car up a lil, do you mean from the chassis (or any place that would decrease load on the suspension) or did you jack it from the brake bolt (or any place that would increase load on the suspension)? I did my RSB on some old brake drums, and a lot of people even back up onto a curb so you really don't need ramps. My cusco is connected by kartboys and IIRC it is connected on the inside too. If you don't know, www.scoobymods.com has a good amount of info on DIY projects.

seems dubious because the endlinks on one side are cooked whereas they are straight on the other side. hmm.... Is it possible that it doesn't matter if it's on the inside or out?

What kind of bar is that? How are you going to keep the bar from walking, which is a known consequence of the perrin endlinks?
