Question ..about rotors upgrade

Hi people just in case i want to upgrade my brakes ,i want to put a larger rotors in my WRX 2002 and i note that the factory rotors comes with a dust shield that sorround the back of the rotors so i think that if i make an upgrade the dust shield must be removed.
what's problems if the dust shield is removed.

voyager2000- We have experienced no ill effects from removing the front dust shields from WRXs upgrading to Big Brake Kits, such as those from Stoptech or Brembo. You should be fine when you remove your dust shields when putting in bigger rotors. Hope this helps.
