what is the big deal with tranny fluid change?
I called local dealership and they wanted $109 for MT tranny fluid change, not flushed (more if flushed). I was thinking just drain and re-fill. did I miss something?

You sure they didn't mis-understand and quote you for an auto? There is no such thing as an MT flush, it's just a drain and fill same as an engine oil change.
Even if that's what happened it's still too much. You can do it yourself in your own driveway.

I am sure, because they guy actually asked me if it's an auto or MT... Yeah, I know I can do it myself, but I called them because they have a great deal going on right now for oil change ($10) and I figure, tranny can't be that much and might just well do it all at once. But I guess I was wrong.
oh well... time to look up that tranny cocktail!
