Stock clutch.

I just bought a used WRX and was wondering how much life to expect out of the stock clutch.

Also when it goes what it a good upgrade for the clutch.

How Many Miles?
Any Modifications?

If its putting down ~230whp and was driven mildly hard for ~30-40k forget it; no more than another 10k.
I've gotten mine into the 60k mark then I replaced it with an aftermarket. (it was replaced twice, first time was because I got stuck and tried like an idiot to get out and blew it up; second time was just wear and tear of stage 4.

This time around its a whole different animal.. alas.. new tranny needed soon; ah well, such is life.

I've got 73K on my stock clutch. I've said it many times, but here it is again. YOU CAN'T DRIVE A WRX LIKE A CIVIC AND EXPECT THE CLUTCH TO LAST.

Sorry for shouting, but too many people here refuse to acknowledge this little fact.

The judder issue is a non-event. My car has had the judder from day 1. Once everything is warm, no judder. Since I tend to believe in not ripping things apart that don't need to be, I've never brought up the TSB with the dealer.

<-- Doesn't drive it like a civic, does a lot of local off-road driving with new gear-set... stock clutch = no good for that.
