sti prices...

hey everyone. its getting nearer and nearer to purchase time for my sti... only a few thousand dollars away. for all of you STI-ers i wanted to see how much you all payed for your sti (04 if possible) so i can get a pretty good idea of what i shoud be spending without getting ripped off. any input would be great.-mattyd

Yeah I'm in the same boat... I wanna go get one... I just don't konw how much I should be really paying for one...

I would be stunned if there's any 04 new STi still out there, remember, we're very close to 06's at this point. A used 04 goes for high 20's on a dealer lot, and mid 20's private party, depending on miles, mods, and condition.

I would think long and strong before I got rid of an 04 WRX to get an STi. Unless you've got money to burn, you can expect to take a sizeable hit unloading that car. I drive a wagon, so this is no flame, but the wagons aren't quite as popular, and among wagon drivers, I can't imagine Red is the typical target color, since a lot of us got our wagons to be LESS visible to cops etc...

It isn't my car, or my money of course, but if it were me, and I REALLY had to have something faster, I'd take the $10+K that it's going to cost you to make that switch, invest half, and put the other half into a bigger turbo and intercooler and a new fuel system, and you'll be WELL over 300HP.

I am in the process of selling my 05' STi in crystal grey metallic. Completely stock except for the tinted windows which was installed around 1k miles. As of date, the milege is about 1400 miles. Anyone interested please let me know. Asking price is $31,300
