Don't get me wrong, I love NAV systems. You know, they're "gadgets." As men, we're pre-programmed to like anything we can push buttons on and feel smart while doing it (I think the ladies would agree)!

I wouldn't mind having a NAV system, but I'm not going to spend $2200 just to get one. As it is, I don't like the "self-dimming" mirror option in my STi! I hate the damned thing! Everything looks green, blurry, and things just look much closer than they appear.........

You'd surely be better off. Some sway bars and other minor suspension mods will have you keeping (or out-pacing) Spec Bs in the rearview in the twisties, while you will have enough money left over to purchase an exhaust, intake, and other necessities to upgrade to a Cobb Stage 2.

FWIW, the Legacy doesn't have much more room in the rear than the Impreza does. I've been trying to talk my wife into a LGT because she wants a car with room for 4, but honestly, the rear of the Legacy is cramped as hell. I keep trying to justify it to her (just because I like the car) but honestly, the rear space sucks.

Maybe it's just me but the Impreza feels like it has more rear space in it than the Legacy......
