somethings wrong

Just recently i noticed that my clutch point is higher and when ever i press my clutch i hear a slight winding whipping sound. I think its my master cylinder but IDK. I have a 04 WRX with 14,000 Miles bought in 2003. Thanks guys.

If your engagement point is getting higher on the pedal it means your clutch is wearing out. A bad hydraulic cylinder will result in a lower engagement point, not higher.

Yes it certainly is, and it can wear out even sooner. It all depends on how the car is driven and the ability/technique of the driver.
A clutch can last for 100K+ or it can be turned into smoke and dust in a few hundred feet.
I've got 80K on the original clutch and it's still fine, many others have over 100K on theirs. OTOH there are plenty of posts from people who went through their clutches in much lower mileage.
