Side View Mirror Problems

Last winter my drivers side mirror became loose. It just flapped back and forth and wouldn't lock into place. It was replaced under warranty. Now my passenger side one is loose. All the internals still work and it wasn't damaged or hit by anything. It's just that it won't lock into place and now I'm out of warranty. Is this just a problem I'm having or are there others out there with it?

I've never had this problem before, but i think you should be able to fix it by taking the inside door panel off then remove the inside mirror cover and tighten it up. Or go to Subaru dearship and see if they would let you borrow their service manual and read it there to see how to remove the covers. Good luck!
