several newbie questions

hi,

i am considering a WRX Sti and had several questions:

1) whats the point of aftermarket rear/front limited slip diffs? does the STi not
come with limited slip diffs stock?
2) what function do upgraded lateral links, pillow ball mounts, and
control arms serve?
3) is it possible or advisable to fit 19" rims on the STi?

thanks in advance for all your help.

Hi, and welcome to our boards.

1.) The STi has three limited slip differentials, front, center and rear. The reason for aftermarket ones is to upgrade these (if you put more power through them, etc).
3.) 19" is a bit big. 18" Still looks a bit big to me, and some people with 18" say their wheels run great, some say the 18" are awful and are just plain too big. 19" might just be too much.
