Got a 2005 STI --- what is the normal boost

Arrow Got a 2005 STI --- what is the normal boost

So i have a dealer installed boost gauge what is the boost patter and maximum boost. The gauge measures in mPA.

I believe 14.5 is max boost.

.1 megapascal = 14.5037626 pounds per square inch
so full boost is basically the .1 mark on your dial that reads in kPa. but boost gauges are only consistent at one thing... being consistently innacurate. so if it's close to .1 you're probably just fine.

Max boost begins to fall off as you get towards redline because of the increase in cylinder pressure. Subaru and basically any other car manufacturer has the same setup to drop boost off slowly to not risk a chance of too high a pressure. (ie. blown headgaskets, piston rings, or the wearing out of seals that much quicker) Max boost on my standard WRX comes at about 5700 rpm.
