extended warranty service or not?

i paid for the extended warranty and never used it for anything except a pair of windshield wipers. needless to say, i have some expensive @ss wipers.

+1 to speedelement. they were nice and got my control arm fixed nice and quick!

so yeah forget the warranty. subarus are pretty damn reliable *knock on wood*

I hate to say it but I got a extended warranty on my 2002 wrx with 95k. 24 months or 24k, whichever comes first. $1500 with a $0 deductable. Only reason is, I would rather average paying around $62.50 a month then have a huge repair bill hit me when I do not have the cash and can't afford to live without transportation. If you go back to the selling dealer or have a good service history with a dealer I am willing to bet they will call in a claim and possibly fib for you if the problem did not result from a modification "ok rummo, was mr jones vehicle modified?" "Not that we can tell" then boom, covered.
