So I've got an 02 wrx, I bought it with a turbo back exhaust and bov with no tune. Bought a stock down pipe and bpv and put them on, now I'm wanting to put the catless down pipe back on but I know I need a tune. Will the accessport work instead of a tune? Or would a tune be better? Or both? Lol (hoping not the last one.) thanks for the help

An AP should be a good buy. Put the downpipe back on and load the stage 2 map from the accesport.leave off the bov, you don't need it. The accesport is cool because you can do many things with it other than flash different maps, good luck

down the road you can go for a custom tune when you get more mods. start off with the AP and run the stage 2 map, well make sure you are running a catless uppipe before going to stage 2. the cobb maps are pretty decent and are conservative which is great for a daily driver.

Perfect that sounds like its gonna be exactly what I need! Thanks so much! Where's the best place to get a Cobb AP? Should I go new or used cause I'm tight on money.

if you are tight on money dont get the AP at all. modding is just a money drain. i bought my AP from boston motorsports for dirtcheap and they overnighted it to me as well, but pretty much all vendors are selling the AP.

^^ Like he said if you are tight on funds the AP is not really all that cheap, used still goes for around 400.00 The AP is ok but unless you use all that extra stuff it will pretty much sit and collect dust..If you are tight on funds and want the most out of your car i would get a tune at a shop.

Ok. Well I got some thinking to do haha. I'd like the AP only cause it sounds like it would almost pay for itself after the second mod I'd do cause I wouldn't have to tune it again for the other mod. Is that correct?
