10,000.00 Cash Voucher
Did anyone else get this deal in the mail from Subaru?
Subaru mailed me this cash voucher deal in the mail.
The scoop:
If I trade in my old car (an '04 WRX). I could use this 10,000 Cash bonus or voucher to buy a new '04 or '05.
The first thing I thought was: STI
The second thing I thought: what color?
But then I came down from cloud STI (yes it is right next to cloud 9) realizing the insurance for the beast would be outrageous for my budget.
"One day I will make her mine, one day...."

Wow, that sounds pretty good. If i get one i may have to go to the dealer and work some numbers. I may end up with the same payment on an 05 sti as i have on my 04 wrx. I could care less about insurance it'd be woth it. BTW will a 04' Stromung TBE fit an 05 STi?

Try calling SOA, and tell them that a friend of yours got one in New Hampshire. And you want to know what is up.
Maybe I have good credit, or maybe my loan rate is low and they are gonna try to get me to refi at a higher rate. Maybe I have sucker written on my forehead.

I'd double check the fine print. Almost every offer from SOA that I've seen exludes the STI, and I wouldn't doubt it if this one does too. However, if I'm wrong (it's been known to happen) then this is a good deal. 10k should offset any negative equity from your trade, and should give you some left over for a down payment. It almost sounds too good to be true.

However I hate these sneaky things with: and,or,but,if,then clauses.

Like on the back of the voucher in small print, in some foreign language it says for trade in value.

I got a "voucher" for a guaranteed trade in of $12.5K. I thought WTF... my car as is is worth more than that. I subsequently tossed the letter into the recycle bin. Two weeks later I got another one...
