They only f-ed up if they remain 'also runs' in WRC ~ this car was NOT built for us I am afraid!

The SI drive are interchangable throttle maps. AP might be able to tap into that to make a multi-stage setting.

The Subaru Rep at the Go-kart release showing in Burlingame was saying the same thing. He said he wanted to see what the aftremarket was going to do since they could program 3 different maps in.

Not to mention than this STI has the most potential for power and handling compared to previous STI's.

Subaru did leave some things to be desired, but of course, no car is perfect. That is why the term "aftermarket parts" exist!"

^ Thats what I am saying, The new Subarus have came out with some new technologies, especially the "new Center Diff" and last time I checked, the parts that are most expensive on any car is the drive train, and Subaru is no exception.

Also I'd like to ask a question, has anyone on this tread taken a business class, economic class or marketing class?

I haven't, but common knowledge says that in a "Consumer Society" like America, a business, any business, is going to do what a business is naturally going to do, MAKE MONEY, Subaru came to America to do business, and make money. Case in point, the WRC and other racing campaigns like "X-Games Rally", Subaru International dominated the WRC, Why? marketing. They followed the ol' slogan, "Race on Sundays, Sell on Mondays" Subaru even picked up the full tab when Prodrive left Subaru WRC, because they knew how important it is to build up a brand name first then reap the benefits... And that, Ladies and Gentlemen is the story of a successful business. You can't hate on that...thats UN-American...Ha ha ha.

Another concept to factor in is "Market Conditions." What is the price for a 08 Impreza in a different country? Also didn't Subaru delay sale of the '08 to the UK market so they can bring more to the US? Thats what I heard, plus they only offer the sedan in the US, that must say something about the buying power of the US market. So there will always be those people that say, "Thats too expensive", and others that can buy without having buyers remorse. Get over it, thats how the world works.

But don't feel left out, the low class is getting larger while the middle class is shrinking. Cuz I don't know if anyone has noticed but our dollar (US Currency) is getting cheaper and cheaper by the year, its like .7% and still rising, Its called INFLATION, look it up. Coupled with the Middle Class and Low Class American Citizens getting paid less and less. The fact of the matter is cars originally being $100 dollars for a Ford Model A (which was affordable to the low class) to average cars today being $30,000 but still having the same amount of performance that they have had since the 60's and 70's. It reminds me, "Bosses are only going to pay there employees just enough for them not to quit, and car companies are going to charge what ever the **** they want to." Because thats business...

the price on Subaru.com is 34995 and there will be some mark ups by the stealership for a while, but I thought it would be worse than it was.

Overall, sucks that the price went up, but you do get a lot of stuff added.
