What's this 'Spec-C' engine?

if its a real spec-c engine, he got the good sh*t. it's a 2.0 liter motor just like every other STi motor (save the USDM one) that makes about 330hp due to forged internals, very aggressive tuning, AVCS...the good stuff. depending on the exchange rate, and the mileage on the engine, it could be quite a deal.

He told me it had 280 to the wheels but I wasn't sure if he was right because the US one has around 250? I just figured instead of spending the 8k on an engine, he could make his WRX faster but he says the Spec C has more potential.

he is right, the spec-c engine has a lot more potential. it's a semi-closed deck block, with forged con-rods and pistons. it'll take a lot more power than a stock USDM WRX block. 280hp to the wheels sounds about right.
