as far as the bolt in characteristics it will fit fine. you wrx turbo manifold, turbo and downpipe will not line up. wiring is also different.

It will work fine. No mods needed. That is why you can run GC8 Exhausts on a WRX...IDENTICAL...

ver 5 and ver 6 are also ej207s like the GDB .. the 7 has more goodies

as far as i have seen they are not that much cheper ...
and more importantly the wiring harness for the ver 7 motor is the same except for the avcs which is ~4 wires ...

actually its 8 wires.
