GC JDM STI engine swap into GD US spec WRX?

GC JDM STI engine swap into GD US spec WRX?
I think it's too much to buy a version 7 motor to swap into my wrx. but is it possible to swap a version 4, 5 or 6 sti engine to our US spec WRX? since it's a lot cheaper. would that be a direct bolt on to the engine bay or do i need to do a major modification in order to make it work?

ver 5 and ver 6 are also ej207s like the GDB .. the 7 has more goodies
as far as i have seen they are not that much cheper ...
and more importantly the wiring harness for the ver 7 motor is the same except for the avcs which is ~4 wires ...

actually its 8 wires.
