What first mods for 2005 STi?

so its been decided. STI it is!!!! Btw i am planning on doing some upgrades to it but i cant really decide on what to do first and what actually needs to be done first. Any suggestions? I should pick it up in about a month or so and it will be a 05 alpine white sti with like 30ish K miles on it.

btw looking at uppipes and downpipes. cobb and megan racing. cobb is about 3 times more expensive. Is cobb actually better? I dont want to take any shortcuts

well i have enough money saved up for a AEM EMS. should i get that instead of the cobb? and would i need to upgrade the fuel system if i got the EMS?

also, just a side question, in what price range would the full coverage for the STI be?

nah, cobb will be more than enough for the first few mods.

TBE, cobb ap, coilovers, sway bars, endlinks, tires, and you should be good.

i'd venture to say HPDE (high performance driving event). Learn to drive the car fast as the first mod. Otherwise you'd be slapping bolt ons left and right before you got close to learning the limits of the stock vehicle.

But no one really listens to that type of advice anyways, so just listen to what everyone mentioned already (up-pipe, etc)

A high-performance driving school is sound advice.

Accessport - Stage 1

Sways

Anything from Turn In Concepts

I like my short shifter quite a bit.

My first mods were snow-tires and a set of mud flaps. I've wasted tons of money since on senseless mods that happened to be "good" deals.

AP all the way...
