if you get the sti short shifter, that'll include the whole shifter/linkage setup. that will require you to get down and dirty under the car. certain area is not quite easily accesible so be prepare to be down there for awhile. kartboy and cobbs on the other hand use you existing linkage so installation is a snap. pull old shifter out and in with the new. IMO i think it comes down to personal preference ie. adjustable height, throw? ease of installation? cost? or even name brand. They basically do all do the same thing.

 

Regardless of what all of these companies say about their respective short shifters, I want to know how a short throw shifter really works so I can get the actual specifications form the companies and make the decision for myself. Thanks in advance to anyone who can explain this to me.
