Yeah! I had an '85 Vanagon wasserboxer for many years, I loved it except it was gutless (1.9L 88hp). I can't imagine if it had the power my WRX has. Very very nice!

The 85 was a 4 speed manual, that car was sooooo much fun. Id have a great time restoring one and putting an EJ20 in it.

Lets hope his wagon doesnt catch on fire like it said in the interview... otherwise dammnnn that is sick, he should really get a drop on it, i think the ride height is kinda high

The turbo would get really hot, and then the engine compartment would get really hot. And then the car would catch on fire. He needs to fabricate a way to get the intercooler under the car at an angle so it weeps in air. here is a diagream: horizontal lines are the vans underbody from the side, slanty line is the intercooler.

i dont think it would get hot enough to catch fire... having the intercooler not... uh intercooling.... wouldnt it just not produce as much hp...
